Check-Ins are By Appointment and we are happy to accommodate early or late Check-Ins if possible.  Please understand we do not have a front desk and do schedule our days around your estimated arrival time. Please advise us of your travel schedule and we will do our to best to accommodate you no matter what the hour.  If you are arriving on an early flight, we are happy to welcome you and store your luggage until your room is ready if we cannot give you an early check-in.  If you are arriving late we are usually up until midnight most nights anyway or can arrange a self-check-in for you too.  In most cases we can offer these services free of charge!

Check-Out time is 11 a.m.  Please understand that we may have another guest checking in and we need time to make the room ready. If you are interested in a late check-out please ask us and we will do our best to accommodate you!  If a late check-out is not possible we may also be able to store your luggage for you so you can enjoy one last day of New York City and than return here before heading out to the airport.  In most cases we can offer these options free of charge!

Many of our guests also make use of Schwartz Travel Services , which offers Manhattan baggage storage near Pennsylvania Station and Grand Central for around $10 per suitcase.  Great for anyone taking an evening flight out of Newark Airport or traveling out by bus or train.

Please contact us directly if you need only one or two nights!  We do normally require a 3-night minimum stay, especially during full season times of year. During Low Season we only require a 2-night minimum as well as during any slower calendar times.  If we have availability on Short Notice, we often make exceptions to this rule, but usually have a modest convenience charge added on.  During Holidays and some Peak Months we may also have a 5-night minimum in place but please call and ask as we are always happy to fill gaps in the calendar.  Please understand that we do our best to accommodate all reservation requests no matter how short or long or how far or close in advance the request is made.

Please contact us directly if you are searching at the last minute! Most of our reservations are booked months or weeks ahead of time, however we are happy to accommodate last-minute guests if we can and the online booking system might not be able to meet your request.  Sometimes, if we have rooms available and ready we can make last-minute exceptions to our 3-night minimum stay policy as well.  Just give us a call or email.

Unless you are staying in The Vanderbilt, Clermont, Lafayette, Clinton or booking two or more rooms, bathrooms are shared.  The Fitzgerald and O'Neal Rooms share a bathroom on the 2nd Floor and The Osborne, McManus and Bradley share another on the 3rd Floor.  The Washington and Carlton Suites share a bath.

We do have an in-house computer on which guests can briefly check email or look up a travel destination.  We do require that guests ask permission and/or schedule an appropriate appointment time for this service, which is free of charge.

We have excellent free wireless internet throughout the house!

We do have a house phone in the parlor which guests are welcome to use for free with unlimited local, regional and national calls and free service to Canada and the Caribbean.  For international calls we always recommend using Skype on the guest computer but phone cards with access numbers can also be used on the house phone.

Free parking is very convenient in our neighborhood, no permits required.  There is also a commercial parking garage a block away.
