It was truly our honor to host this BBC host! She stayed two days with her lovely technical director Kate Howell and they managed to interview writer Paul Auster and choreographer Bill T. Jones in that short span! We quickly went out and saw Jones' new Broadway show, Fela!, which was phenomenal!
- Theaster Gates
- Theaster stayed with us both times he visited this year as he courted The Whitney Museum and won their hearts! He was honored in The Whitney Biennial 2010 with the courtyard space entry where he constructed a Shoe-Shine Temple, bringing together African American and Asian aesthetics at thewill be taking over the courtyard for all to enjoy upon entering the museum. We hope you will get a chance to see it this Spring, but in the meantime checkout his website.
- Paul St. George
- Paul stayed with us while in the planning stages of his Telecroscope project which is spectacular. Among many of the interesting things he does is study the interplay of light, time and perception. We were so enthralled we insisted on keeping one of his small sculpture concepts, a Rabbitduck, which is on display in our parlor.
- Ramin Dustdar
This talented Persian/Austrian actor, singer and dancer stayed with us for 10 days with his beautiful lady Katrin. We relished every breakfast with them and were very sad when they left!
- Maurizio Giammarco
This friendly jazz sax player visited for a few days in January with his adult son. Shopping for jazz vinyl, his suitcases were much heavier when he left! We only wish he had brought he saxes with him to warm up the winter chills!
